EU Shipping Restrictions

Due to the cost of maintaining authorized representatives in each EU country under current packaging requirements, we have had to limit shipping to most EU destinations. As a small business with relatively low order volume in the region, the ongoing compliance costs are not sustainable for the products we sell.

We are currently working to secure authorized representation in the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, and Belgium. We will update this page as those arrangements are finalized.

FootClothes already maintains an EU representative for product-safety compliance and is registered with the relevant EPR and packaging-recycling programs where required. However, the additional country-by-country representative requirements for packaging create significant recurring costs, often hundreds of euros per country each year.

We believe a single EU-wide authorized representative, similar to the approach used for product safety, would be a more practical solution for small businesses. The current framework places a disproportionate burden on independent brands, even those already using lower-impact packaging such as paper header cards and recycled mailers.
